SHOOT OGAWA was born in Tokyo, Japan, where he discovered his love for magic at the age of 10. By the time he was 17, he had traveled to the United States and won the First Place award for Stage Magic at the St. Louis Magic Jubilee. That was the start of a long list of prizes and accolades that Shoot has earned while developing his art and visiting over 40 countries around the world. Back at home, in Tokyo, he has performed on all 7 television channels. Upon moving to Hollywood in 2002, Shoot became a regular performer at the world-famous Magic Castle. Just one year later, in 2003, he received their Close-up Magician of the Year award at 27 years old, making him the youngest magician in the history of the Academy of Magical Arts to earn that title. He won it a second time in 2006. By this time, California's Lighthouse Magazine called Shoot "The most popular Japanese entertainer in the USA." In both 2008 and 2009, Shoot was awarded the Academy of Magical Arts' Parlour Magician of the Year award. His reputation spread worldwide when he was invited to participate as guest performer at FISM - the Olympics of magic - in both 2009, in China; and 2012, in the United Kingdom. Most recently, he was named the Academy of Magical Arts' Stage Magician of the Year for 2015. Shoot Ogawa has proven himself to be a world-class performer.
